Kitchen Hand and Cafe all-rounders - Express your interest in joining our team in Melbourne

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Kitchen Hand at WHSmith, you will be responsible for:

  • Clean and maintain general kitchen areas, including dishwashing and waste management.
  • Unpack and sign off deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and packed away properly.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well stocked food preparation area.
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily service targets and standards.

As a Cafe All Rounder at WHSmith, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and serving food and beverages to cafe standards.
  • Greeting and interacting with customers in a warm and professional manner.
  • Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately.
  • Restocking supplies and ensuring front-of-house is always well presented.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the cafe.
  • Handling both cash and card payments efficiently.
